This privacy policy explains how BLANKPAGE ENTERPRISE SRL handles information when you use Settle.

Settle is a personal gut health diary for bowel movements, symptoms, meals, notes, reminders, insights, and PDF exports.

1. who operates settle

Settle is operated by BLANKPAGE ENTERPRISE SRL, the company behind Blankpage Studio.

2. the privacy model

Settle is designed around local storage.

Your diary entries are stored on your device unless you turn on iCloud sync in the app settings.

BLANKPAGE ENTERPRISE SRL does not operate a Settle account system, health-data server, advertising network, or analytics database for the current app.

3. information stored in the app

Settle stores the information you enter into the app so the diary can work.

Bowel entries include date, time, Bristol stool type, pain level, blood or mucus flags, and notes.

Symptom entries include date, time, symptom type, severity, and notes.

Meal entries include date, time, meal name, food tags, and notes.

Settings include onboarding state, iCloud sync preference, reminder preference, reminder time, and local premium access state.

PDF exports are generated only when you request an export. The PDF is created in temporary local storage and shared through the iOS share sheet to the destination you choose.

4. information we receive

The current Settle app does not send your diary entries to us.

Support messages reach us only when you contact us by email or another support channel. Those messages include the contact details and content you choose to send.

App Store purchases are processed by Apple. When subscriptions are enabled, Apple provides the subscription and transaction information needed to confirm access, handle refunds, and provide support.

5. iCloud sync

iCloud sync is optional.

When you turn it on, your Settle entries sync through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure and your Apple ID.

That data is stored in your private iCloud database. BLANKPAGE ENTERPRISE SRL cannot browse, read, or export your private iCloud data.

Apple processes iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy.

6. reminders

Settle can schedule local notifications when you enable reminders.

The reminder time is stored on your device. Notification permission is controlled by iOS, and you can change it in the iOS Settings app.

Settle does not send reminder data to us.

7. exports and sharing

PDF export is user-controlled.

The app creates a summary from entries inside the date range you choose. After the PDF is created, the iOS share sheet lets you send it to another app, save it, print it, or share it with a healthcare professional.

The recipient and destination you choose are responsible for their own handling of the exported file.

8. purposes of processing

Local diary data is processed to provide app functionality, including logging, history, insights, reminders, iCloud sync, deletion, and export.

Support data is processed to answer your request, troubleshoot issues, and keep a record of the conversation.

Purchase data is processed to provide premium access, restore purchases, manage subscription status, and comply with legal or accounting obligations.

9. legal bases under gdpr

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, the legal bases are performance of a contract, legitimate interest, consent, and legal obligation.

Performance of a contract covers the app features you request.

Legitimate interest covers support, security, product maintenance, and business records.

Consent covers optional permissions such as notifications and iCloud sync.

Legal obligation covers tax, accounting, consumer protection, and regulatory duties.

10. sharing

Settle does not sell personal data.

Data is shared only where needed to operate the app, comply with law, process App Store purchases, respond to support requests, protect rights and safety, or complete a corporate transaction under appropriate safeguards.

Apple acts as an independent controller for App Store distribution, billing, Apple ID, and iCloud.

Professional advisers, courts, regulators, or authorities receive information only where the law or a legitimate legal process requires it.

11. retention

Diary entries stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.

iCloud synced entries remain in your private iCloud database according to your iCloud settings and Apple account controls.

Support emails are kept for up to three years after the last contact unless a longer period is required for legal protection.

Purchase and transaction records are kept for the period required by tax, accounting, and consumer protection law.

12. deleting data

The app includes a delete-all-data control in Settings.

Deleting entries removes them from the local app store. If iCloud sync is active, deletion can sync to other devices signed in with the same Apple ID.

You can also delete the app from your device. iCloud data remains subject to your Apple ID and iCloud controls.

13. security

Settle relies on iOS app sandboxing, local device protections, Apple's CloudKit security for optional sync, and App Store payment infrastructure.

You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple ID, and device passcode secure.

Perfect security does not exist. If we learn about a personal-data breach that requires notice, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by law.

14. children

Settle is not directed to children under 13.

People under 16 in the European Economic Area should use Settle only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information to us through support.

15. your rights

Depending on your location, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data we process about you.

Most diary data is controlled directly on your device and through your Apple ID.

For data we hold through support or purchase records, send requests to hey@blankpage-studio.com.

EU users can lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. The Romanian supervisory authority is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing, available at https://www.dataprotection.ro.

16. international transfers

Support and purchase-related processing can involve providers outside the European Economic Area.

Where GDPR applies, international transfers use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent legal mechanisms.

17. changes

We update this policy when Settle's data practices change.

The updated version will be posted in the app or on the official Settle website with a new date.
